RECON - Installation
======================

RECON is distributed on CD or as zipped package via Internet. 


Hardware requirements

- IBM compatible PC

Software requirements
---------------------
- Operation system Windows


Installation proper
-------------------

Installation CD and/or downloaded package contain an installation 
program SETUP.EXE that guides you through the installation. 

- Close all applications before installation!
- Insert the installation CD and/or unzip downloaded package
- Run SETUP.EXE
- Use "Change directory" button to select installation directory (not a root!)
- Complete installation by pressing button at the upper left corner

Important note: 
Better avoid installing the program to the default folder "Program Files". 
The reason is that running Recon needs to create some subdirectories which may 
not be allowed here under some versions of Windows.
